Your best bet would be to find a donor lens and take the element group from
it.  The only other alternative that I've seen is the service offered by
S.K. Grimes.  Apparently he can separate lens groups and re-cement them.

used his services so I have no idea what the price or quality of his work
is.  I would suspect the price to be beyond the value of your 35-105 zoom
lens.
