Albert:

Albeit a noble sentiment, this idea has been tried before.  Olympus' reaction 
has been either "Sorry, but we've moved on, and we suggest you do, too," or a 
great big non-committal yawn.  In either case, there didn't seem to be any wild 
rush to suddenly change course.

I suspect we'll see the demise of the OM system in the next few years (not a 
big deal -- the cameras will probably last longer than the availability of 
film).  Till then, I'll just keep happily using what I've got, and thanking my 
lucky stars I can afford it both in terms of time and money.
