I think that I have a friend who is a little like the hero in your
hypothesis. He tends not to use his cameras enough, perhaps for
different reasons though...
I use glasses and I use my non-adjustable OMs (1N & 2N) with my
glasses or with an eyecup and corrective lens. It's no trouble and
the cameras, as you well know, are a dream to pick up and to handle
(I seem to remember that I used to say that about girls... sometimes
still do ;-)).
I have not seen th OM2k, but I am not really keen on the OMx0 series anyway.
Good Luck to your friend... of course paranoids are the only ones who
really know what's going on eh? :>).
