sorry for the OT...
any electronics or audiophile types across the pond, pls rsvp...
can i run two 8ohm spkrs in series (16Z effective) from an amp that has an
8Z output? (amp rated 60w rms, spkrs are 15each, so i'm ok there..)
right now i've got them in parallel and hooked to the 4z output. problem
is, wire cant be longer than 30ft or so; so both spkrs can only go 25ft
from amp. by going in series, i can place both farther apart for a PA
system (25ft from amp to sp1, 25ft from sp1 to sp2) i'm playing it safe
(its MY neck on the block if anything blows) by par. wiring but would LOVE
to be able to series it.
it'll be carrying spoken word (lecture) outdoors for a couple of hours
(nothing loud or intensive load wise). if i can hear before 6am pacific
time it'd be great. after that i wont be home, so no need to reply ;) thx
