Vielleicht. One just wonders why that nice slim polarizer are only
available from Olympus?

Are there other Japanese filter maker beside of Kenko/Hoyo. Many of
the OEM filters look so different, they are either made by the
respective brand or there are some other manufactors.

Best regards

Richard

Richard,

Hoya makes a line of what they call "ultra thin" filters. The B & H catalog lists UV, skylight, and a UV+ circular polarizer in the "ultra thin" form. They are listed only in sizes 58 to 77mm however which does not help with most Oly applications.

They also list B&W slim wide angle filters in almost all sizes.

Tiffen also has thin wide angle filters, but like the Hoya are only in the larger sizes.

I do not know how these filters compare in thickness to the Oly filters.
