Mike,

Can't answer everything, but had some thoughts.

personally, I wouldn't think that one flash vs. two would matter on the
battery drain.  Could be wrong, but the drain is powering the little green
light.  The red one is powered from the flash batteries, if I remember
correctly.

As for the third flash, can't you plug a third flash into the TTL socket on
the T32? I thought that would work.

As for the fill flash, slow film and/or ND filters would fire the flash, but
I'm not sure I'd call that fill flash.  Unfortunately, I think you're going
to have to run out and buy a 4T and F280.

Everyone jump in if I am wrong.
