I think the battery drain issue is way over-played. My OM-4 does not have
the T circuit, but the batteries last several months at least. I used the
batteries that were in the camera when I bought it for 4 months. Don't know
if they were new or not. The new ones have lasted 4 months so far... Compare
the cost of a couple 357's against the cost to change batteries in a wonder
brick! Even P&S models use expensive batteries and use them quickly. My
IS-20 uses 2 cr123's. That's $11. I don't know how long they will last, but
my point is, the idea of having the batteries last years, like the OM-1 used
to, is history. If a 4T gets a year out of the batteries, Great! If a 4 gets
4-6 months, Great! It's far less than the cost of a good roll of film.

Shoot film. Smile. Have fun. Always keep film and batteries on hand!
