  I agree with Lex.  I admit that I am prejudiced about the SP.  However, one 
of it's charms vs an OM 1  ( I own 3 Om 1s) is that it is all but silent at a 
distance of 3 feet with any ambient noise around.  It has a very fine lens, a 
good spot meter and it synchs at higher speeds.

Do I need it?  No!  Am I a bonefide Zuikoholic?  Yes!

Going back to a long ago thread, with either an XA or an SP you don't look 
like a pro and you get pro results.  I recently was allowed to photograph 
some really funky stuff in a local bistro that absolutely does not allow 
photography.  I asked nicely and I was carrying this funny old camera ( an 
SP).  Carrying an OM with my 35=70mm zoom would not have worked.
