Yup, I know - I've done various tricks with my XA-series cameras and flashes. But for Titoy's sake, and to better explain the concepts of flash sync at various speeds and combining flash with ambient light, I decided to stick with explaining how to use a conventional shoe-mount flash and camera with manually adjustable shutter speeds and apertures.

The XAs can do some pretty incredible stuff. With my XA3 I usually tape over the DX code contacts on the film cannister and use the ASA switch for exposure adjustments. Kinda wish they'd just omitted DX coding from the XA3...

...not true, Lex. One can...do accurate fill-flash...
