[OM] The value of a 50/1.2 -- and the beauty of the 85/2

I went to my daughters' first basketball game of the season today (they're
on the same team). It feels like I haven't used my OM equipment in way too
long.

I took a small, small kit with me: OM-2S with Winder 1. 50/1.2 on the body
and 85/2 in my pocket.

I switched the lenses around a bit, and they are the perfect combonation for
available light in a poorly lit gym. This was actually the first time I
used the 50/1.2 since I bought it. What a great lens -- bright and lots of
light, but not as heavy as I had remembered. Perfect for this situation.
Nice fast shutter speeds.

The 85/2 is a perfect compliment. When I wanted to move in a little tighter,
I switched to the 85. Also perfect. Small and light.

The beauty was that either lens would fit in my pocket quite nicely.

I might try the 100/2 next week, as a little more length would be nice, but
it's not a 'pocket lens'.

Ain't it fun.

Tom
