I have both the 50 and the 90 but have not used them enough yet to have
strong opinions about image quality although they are both superb. To me the
difference is in how far you want to have the end of the lens from a small
object and still fill the frame as you wish. I usually like the 90 better as
I can stay a little further away. Sometimes lighting impact, such as
shadowing, is a problem with the 50 if you have to get too close. For things
that burn, bite, or sting a little more distance is nice too. Just to keep
things in perspective, the best flower pictures I ever produced were made
using my first Zuiko 50mm f1.8 with a Komura doubler. /jnm
