The true "high drain" 357 may be made only by Eveready, I don't know.

| John:
|
| Here in Spain, Varta has its SR44 battery listed as "best" for an
| OM2s (you can also find this at their website, www.varta.com). I have
| not been able to found a 357 reference in the Varta catalogue. As I
| understand a SR44 is a Silver (oxide?) battery with 1.55 volts, here
| are the specs:
|
| Varta Type Designation V13GS
| Voltage (V) 1.55
| Elektrochemical System Primary Silver
| Typical Capacity (mAh) 180
| Type No. 4176
|
| Could it be that SR44 is just European standard denomination of a
| 357? Should I look for some other battery?
|
| PS: Apparently here in Spain one can still get 1.35 Mercury ones,
| despite environmental unfriendliness. Varta also lists them as *best*
| for OM1s.
|
| Cheers
