There are many Zuikos and many Tamron SP lenses, so that seems rather a
broad statement. I guess I occasionally took exception to that
conclusion at:

although not for the 500mm Zuiko vs. 500mm Tamron, where the Zuiko is a
better performer. Particularily steller Tamron's include the 400mm f/4
and 80-200mm f/2.8
