IMVHO, you might want to consider redirecting your sights northward a bit
rather than eastward.

The whole Pacific Coast Highway is spectacular, particularly for the
photographically inclined.
Again, IMVVVVHO, the sights of Las Vegas somewhat pale in comparison to the
more 'natural' ones further up the coast.
