We're teaching photography as an option in Senior High Studio Arts (along
with painting, sculpture, multimedia, etc.). Consequently we are interested
in producing students who can go on to commercial photography or use it as
an artistic medium. Understanding the basics of controlling light are as
important to us as drawing is to a 2D art teacher. But we also use digital
to teach composition :-)
As to what one goes on to - I have an OM2sp but it seems to be set to spot
metering most of the time!
