It was over $30 . . . more of a reaction to the price I saw . . . was
expecting something around $20 . . . but then I have no benchmarks for
what they should cost.   :-)

Hama does make some of the better odds 'n ends accessories.

One additional thought . . .
I did look at alternatives for making one of my own a while back.  From
what I was able to find to make one from I concluded it would be better to
buy one of the "double" type than to try fabricating one.

Another alternative to bubble levels is to get Olympus screen #1-10, the one for architectural usage. It contains etched vertical & horizontal lines to handle both vertical and horizontal compositions.

Unfortunately, Olympus never got around to making a #2-10 screen - which is the one I really, REALLY! wanted all along - a #2-10 with a spot metering circle would have covered virtually all of my compositional needs. However. I can't complain too much; I have a number of #1-10 screens and two bubble levels on my latest tripod. ;-)
