The Wide-Angle site is owned by Mr. Jaap Korten. Jaap is a keen Olympus
user and collector and he knows his products. I ordered items from Jaap
on three occasions in 2000, and in every case he despatched the order
promptly. I live in Indonesia and one parcel from Jaap, containig an
old Olympus 35SP rangefinder camera, was 'lost' by the post office
here. They admitted it and compensated me! Jaap was upset and wanted to
send me another free of charge but I wouldn't hear of it. On another
occasion, I was going to the UK for 10 days at the same time that Jaap
was going on a trip to Japan. I asked him to despatch my order to my
father's home in England (safer). So as not to disappoint me, Jaap
shipped the items (a $650 order) even before he had received payment -
it was a telegraphic transfer that took several days longer than
expected. I consider Jaap to be honest and reliable. His shipments are
prompt and he packs the items very carefully. For Olympus fans based in
Europe, he is a good source in my opinion. Ray Moth
