I am sure they had no idea what the lens was worth. Some camera stores have
no idea what the stuff is worth.
I was in a KIT's camera store in Portland a while ago and asked if they had
any older Olympus cameras, and he said yeah we have an Olympus OM4-T. We
looked in the cabinet and could not find it. He looked in the sales paper
work and it had sold for $200.00 a few days before I entered. I asked "was
it beat up" and he said "no", it looked new.
I assume he had no idea what the camera was worth.
Ritz Camera will give you $50.00 on trade in for a 4T, then ship it
somewhere else to sell. So there are deals out there, but like women, it's
all timing.
