I was checking out the latest Popular Photography
March 2001 issue page 72 in an article entitled REBELS
It's about pro's using manual on their auto everything
cameras. On page 76 is a terrific shot of a Paris street
seen at late dusk[storefronts,neon lights,traffic headlamps
and the Eiffel Tower and sky in the background.The Photographer,
Romilly Lockyer shot a stop and a third more then his meter
told him He used a 20cc magenta filter to counteract reciprocity effects and
take the green out the neon lights on the city street
he was shooting. In his case he was using Fujichrome Velvia.
The Coloring was [IMHO] really neat! If you can find a copy
take a looksee.
