Now there's an idea. Machine an opening and fit it with a rubber grommet and
a small plastic window. If the grommet extends to seat against the film
canister, it would be dust and light proof. Perhaps one can be salvaged from
the back of a different camera body that has one. Sounds like a nice
customization job on an easily replaceable OM back. Anyone ever try this?
