I've been carrying an unfamiliar name (Marexar CX 80-205) zoom around in
the truck to work with me since I'm tired of missing those great shots.
It came with a kit i bought so there was nothing to lose. But the
results are nothing to write home about. So i thought i'd upgrade to
something better, say in the +/-80-250 f4 range, most interested in the
long end. But I'm open to all suggestions. I want something inexpensive
($100 maybe less?) to limit my risk so probably no Zuiko glass, no OM
stuff at garage sales around here. This lens might get dirty and will
get bounced around. I sometimes also carry a 35-70 and a 24 but I hate
to leave them in the truck all of the time. I checked out Gary's tests
and the Tamron and Tokina looked good but I don't know about the going
prices. Nor do i know much about the different types of mounts and
adapters and what to look for. Oh yeah, this goes on an OM2n or sp
