There is a saying, "When an old man dies, a library burns".  That is 
certainly true in the case of O. Winston Link.  When I first saw one of his 
photos of steam engine, I had an instant flashback to my childhood.  I was 
lucky enough to be a kid when the transition to diesel was in full swing, but 
there was still the occasional steam train going thru my little home town.  A 
captivating sight for child and adult alike.  Thank God Mr. Link's love of 
photography & trains has captured that history (photographic and railroad) 
for all of us.  He wasn't the only one taking great photos of trains, of 
course, but his work certainly stands apart.
