On that shipment postage is $20, insurance is $4.50. A 4 lb. package
shipped to Japan, insured for $600, almost $40.

A customer says he doesn't want to pay for insurance and I remind him that,
that means if the package does not arrive he will gladly not take any action
(and I am not liable) because he demanded no insurance. The policy has
become: insurance is not optional.

| I've found the same problem. To insure to the UK, you have to pay a
higher
| postage rate too. I usually just gamble, but of course John can't do that
| with a customer camera.
