I won't ship uninsured anymore. I've apparently lost an uninsured $91
Nikkor 135mm f/3.5 AI that I sent USPS Air Mail Parcel Post to the UK.
FWIW, since before the Christmas rush I've had more lost parcels in in
the previous 3 years total.
