I have two el-cheapo plastic winders, one no-name and one Soligor. Both work
fine; the Soligor even has an interval timer built in. I'm going to keep
them (or at least the Soligor, still thinking about the other one), but I've
always wanted something a little more solid; I really was on the lookout for
a Winder 2, but most go for almost the price I paid for the Motor Drive, so
I consider this a much better deal.

Well, for now I'll use it for the same things I would have used my old
winders or the Winder 2, had I got one (like events in my
sister's/brother-in-law's dancing school, speeches, and other events where
the decisive moments worth photographing often last for just seconds and you
don't want to waste any time during that period winding your film). But I
figure there will be shootings where the added speed can't hurt.
