Eric,

what Hans said makes a lot of sense, in that picking a current
camera extends the life of spare parts etc. But the OM2n is very repairable
still, and is a beautiful instrument. I bought mine second-hand a few years
ago, having lusted for one since buying my OM1n twenty or so years ago. It's
a great camera.

Specialist repairers do exist for these, I sent my OM1n to John Hermanson at
Camtech in New York and am delighted with the work. Now I expect to get
another 20 years from it at least, and the OM2n will probably be treated the
same way when its foam gets icky.

All the lenses etc for the 1n, of course, fit the 2n. With a few exceptions
all OM accessories fit the cameras. Look in the FAQ and Hans' e-SIF site for
all you ever wanted to know about the OM System.
