nearest thing I can think of is the guy (can't remember his name
offhand) who does the cartoon illustrations in the 'Serviceman's Log'
column in the 'Silicon Chip' electronics magazine... usually things
like steam or animal powered televisions,  with bad (good!) 'sight
puns' on the technical terms used in the text...
