In light of the evidence, it might behoove those who openly supplied
their eBay names, to write SafeHarbor on behalf of Gregg. Below is the
letter I sent.

Dear Safe Harbor folks:
You recently suspended golftooter = Greg Iverson
(giverson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) for what appears to be a posting on the Olympus
OM Internet Mailing List of a list of actual names correlated with their
eBay user names. This private, subscription mailing list is periodically
archived and picked up by search engines like Google. The supposed
infraction was the result of an archive located at:
http://zuiko.sls.bc.ca/swright/archives/2000/msg09996.html
The ironic thing about this posted list is that all the eBay users who
appear on it openly and knowingly supplied their real name and eBay user
name. Greg simply volunteered to compile the individual postings where
those eBay users revealed their identify. If one further searched the
same archives, the original postings from each of those eBay users can
be found. Those users posted their identity to allow approximately 500
other Olympus OM system camera and equipment owners to be able to
identify when a member of the mailing list was auctioning an item.
As both an eBay Power Seller and a long-term subscriber and contributor
to the OM mailing list, I think it is unfortunate that Greg's altruism
resulted in this suspension. As one of the eBay users who supplied his
name to Gregg, I request that his suspection be reviewed on the merits
of the arguments put forth here.
