It can't focus to infinity. It is just a variable extension tube, but it works
with a moving lens group rather than adding additional extension. With a 50mm
set to infinity it lets you continuously change magnification between 1:10 and
1:1. The infinity mark next to the magnification scale is a reminder that the
scale is calibrated for standard lenses set at infinity. If you set the lens to
close distance the magnification can be higher that 1:1 because you add the
built-in extension of the lens.
