Your way is one way to do it but involves finding the rather rare T20
autoconnector.
You might try to find a Duosync cord, which is basically a hot shoe to hot
shoe cord with all the proper wiring. There are two models, one for OM-2 and
another for OM-2N and above. You can tell by the number of pins on the shoes.
Call Silvio's in Torrance, Calif. The last time I was there, a few months
ago, they had one in stock.
