[OM] Travel kit musings

By now, Tom is off at his conference discovering he can't find the time
for any photos, so furhter advice for this trip is now futile. :-)

However, I'll put in my preference which is for a second body, fewer
lenses and a compact tripod. Put a longer lens on the body with the faster
film if you are doing handheld. Use the tripod if you care about the shot
or need d.o.f. Even a pocket tripod (about 15cm in length) will crudely
support an OM with a short tele if you brace it carefully. People who
claim that their yogic breathing techniques allow them to handhold long
exposures don't compare enlargements. Give me a tripod and a cheapo lens
over a good lens handheld anyday! Oh yeah, add a couple filters and a
cable release and a hood if you can squeeze it in. Round off with a small
notebook and pen and you are ready for anything.
