Hi,

Thanks for the comments so far. I'll try to get some of the Kodak Panalure
paper.

1.) Kodak makes a special paper for this purpose, I can't remember what it is
called. Problem is it must be handled in total darkness like color paper.

Well, that should be no problem since I made my darkroom totally light proof.
2.) Use Ilford's MG VC paper and dial in a lot of magenta on the color head,
or if you have a condenser enlarger, use a lot of magenta with the add in
filters. I have had good luck printing on Ilford paper and using heavy magenta
filtration on my Durst color head.

My enlarger has no colour head. But I could try to use the grade 5 MG
filters, which looks "quite purple" - I'd better check the specs for this
filter. The results of using Ilford MG paper with graduation 5 gave quite bad
results.

3.) Shoot one of the Kodak or Ilford chromogenic B&W films, then you can use
the C-41 processed negatives as B&W negatives ( which they are ).
Why not just shoot standard B&W film and process it yourself?

I do that already. My problem concerns the many colour negatives I already
have. Some of them are contrasty enough to also give some good b/w pictures.

  Thanks for that

  Bernd
