Take screw out of battery compartment, remove panel on back. press top
cover in at crack while pulling apart. Note you must discharge the main
capacitor first ( a big 500 ohm wire wound resistor is good for this).
Touching the cap contacts without discharging can knock you out of your
chair etc. Also, there are 6 other spots on the 2 circuit boards that
remain charged even after full dump. Shorting areas out may do damage.

| Oh, think twice before going there......
|
| Ok, I'll try and remember.
|
| In the battery compartment is a single screw. Remove it. The top cover
then
| snaps off. DO NOT TOUCH THE BIG HONKIN CAPACITOR. Take a high value
resistor,
| bend the leads to the same width as the contacts on the capacitor and
touch
| it thereto. You can then test the voltage across the capacitor with a
| voltmeter. If it reads zero, you're safe to touch it.
|
| Notice that everything is stuffed in there pretty tight. So, depending on
why
| you want to take this apart determines what you do next. Replacing the
foot
| is the hardest probably.
