I remember seeing discussion on these a while ago but didn't have the
foresight to file it away...
Anyways, which is the version to look for? I just picked up a '2x Macro
focusing Teleconverter, MC, O/OM'
Is this the 'good' one? I kind of remember something about the 11 element
version being the better of those available. Is this one of them?
The 'good' one is the 7-element, 5-group 2X macro TC. The results achieved
with this TC were reputedly comparable to the results produced by the
venerable Nikon 50mm F/2.8 macro lens. Just remember to stop down about
three stops from maximum aperture to get the best performance.
