Hi John,
I also have a Scanwit 2720s and Photoshop 5 LE and no problems with the
combination.
Can I assume:
1) that you're using Mirafoto for the scanner twain interface?
2) that you've actually pushed the "scan" button as well as the
"preview" button?

The situation you describe sounds as though there isn't actually any
image in Photoshop's memory. That would be the case if you simply hit
preview and not scan. You must hit the "scan" button and then "exit"
after the scanning of one or more images is complete. When Mirafoto
exits you should see a stack of image windows in Photoshop's main
window; one for each image that you scanned.

If this is the procedure that you're already following... I dunno. If
this doesn't help you out give me some more info about the steps that
you follow. Also what versions of Mirafoto and Windows are you using.
Perhaps your version of Mirafoto isn't compatible with your version of
Windows. I'm using Mirafoto 2 with Windows 2000. I also had an earlier
version of Mirafoto (1.1, I think) successfully running on Windows 98.
I also use Hamrick software's ViewScan for scanning which offers more
control.

Zuiks/Zuikettes

Sorry to go OT but I've been trying to get Photoshop 5 LE to work!

I have a brand new Acer Scanwit 2720s and I have scanned in my first
slide -
looks lovely on the screen.

When I try to use a filter - they are all 'greyed out' and unavailable.

When I try to print, the PRINT option in the FILE menu is greyed out.

My Agfa flatbet images are OK, I get full functionality - but I can't
get
the Acer images to print!

What am I doing wrong? What step have I left out? I've been at it for
about
5 hours with no success. Please help if you can.

I'm going off to dinner, drink and bed now so I will acknowledge any
responses tomorrow.

TIA

John OR

OM content - I've been trying out my new (to me) 21/3.5 on a '2n earlier
today; what a lens, what a lens.
Speak to you tomorrow.
