Quite so Clyde... I have said it many times: if you send HTML, the
type is pretty small in Eudora and I will normally not bother reading
it. But it is worse for the Digest readers as the HTML codes are
repeated ad nauseam and bulk out the file significantly.

The AOL emailer seems to be the main problem, although I understand
that Susan Steele has managed to switch off HTML in her posts. In
Eudora there are settings for HTML; I have mine set to off as a
default, although if I *do* reply to an HTML post, I can reply in
kind if I choose.

If you use Outlook Express, sure you can read HTML, but you have it
set to display the font and size that you want. I choose not to
change received fonts in Eudora Pro as it also changes the character
set - with other problems. Therefore, I accept that I am normally
only going to read the posts that are in plain text unless something
catches my eye and persuades me to make the effort. I am not sure
that you mind that *I* will not generally read HTML posts, but you
will be aware by now that you make it difficult to read the Digest.

As Frugal so politely wrote: why not switch off HTML... (or something
like that :>)).

Chris

Seems the reader of csoles is a lousy one.

Eudora Pro is pretty much considered the best. And yes, your fonts
are tiny too.
