Hi Tom,
I've got a 1978 Vivitar catalog that lists this lens and an 800 F 8.0 lens.
Both lenses are preset type. The 600 F8.0 is a 3 element in 3 group lens with
a minimum focusing distance of 33ft. Accessory size is listed as 87mm. Hope
this helps.
