This is normal for the two-ring zooms. Once I got used to it,
I prefer this type of zoom action to the one-touch zoom style.

Subject: [OM] 75-150 question

I'm considering purchase of a 75-150/4. Cosmetically in good shape with
only minor use marks. Glass looks fine inside and out. My question
concerns the zoom action. This is the first time I've actually had one
in hand and have nothing to compare it with. It doesn't turn as it zooms
and I can see the element inside slide up and down, all well and good.
This action however has a much different sound/feel than the focus sound
I'm used to which is barely a sound at all. This you can actually hear
move. Is this right? I've only used zooms that rotate and they feel much
smoother than this one. So is this a function of this design or a defect
in the lens?

thanks
Mike
