: I just finished reading the OM Modern Classics book and in the macro section
there was
:mention of a Hama Viewfinder Magnifier as an alternative to the Varimagnifier.
:This magnifier is suppose to be more like the P*nt*x finder in that it doesn't
flip the
:image when viewing. I did a search at the Hama site, but couldn't find it.
:I've never seen anything quite like this and was wondering if anyone else had.
:The Modern Classics was last updated in the early 90's and this edition was
printed in 1997.

I have one of these Hama magnifiers for OM. Bought new 1.5 year ago, but it must
have been a shelf remainder since it doesn't appear in the Hama catalogue. It is
a straight (non-angled) focusing magnifier; it only magnifies the center of
screen. You can flip it upwards when you want to view the entire screen. It has
a built-in diopter correction. I think the magnification is a bit more than the
Olympus Varimagnifier at 2.5x. It's a nice tool for super tele, macro and micro
photography.
