One thing you can do is make a little slit in the wrapper that the screen comes in, just wide enough for the tab to slip through. In my case, having done this I actually used a bench grinder (being the impatient type) to reduce the width of the tab. The wrapper allows you to keep a good tight hold on the screen with your fingers without damage to the screen.

I should add, however, that I did not find the 2-series screen to work well with the OM-1 meter. I had the meter recalibrated and it was reasonably linear with a normal 50mm lens but was way off with telephotos. One of these days I'm going to send that camera back to John H. and have him calibrate it for the 1-series screens once again. I can always use the 2 series screen for macro + flash shooting where the meter is not in play but the viewfinder is.

Any tip on how to cut the little bugger without making
a mess of it?
