It is such an area of subjective opinion, and variability within even one
makers line, that it's very difficult to address your question rationaly.  I
am particularly fond of Soligor lenses,



I forgot to include the point that Soligor lenses seem to be towards the
bottom of the food chain, and commensurately low priced as pawn/used finds.
Doesn't bother me at all, as I'm usually looking to buy, not sell.
