Weston's could measure illumination with the addition of the Weston
Invercone. It was translucent white plastic and allowed the user to take
incident light readings. Kinda like a portable 18 0ray card.
I used one for years to get reading for Kodachrome photography in TV
studios and other locations.

improperly marked with "foot-candles" or "lux" which are measures of
_illumination_ not of _luminance_ which is what a photographic light meter
really measures when making a reflected reading.
