Actually it's 3.4 according to Microtek.  But I recall reading 
somewhere (can't find reference) when I was shopping that it's 3.8 
with transparencies. Either way, it's fine for the web (3.0 isn't 
suitable for anything). My next scanner will be the Nikon 8000 but 
I'm in no rush.
