A critical idea is the cost of cartridges, of course. Someone on another
list, I think, didn't like the 1200's much because the cartridges were
'chipped' and no third party versions were available. They were doing large
B&W and fitting a 3rd party '4 blacks' cartridge, along with continuous
feed, external reservoir systems for panoramas. They much preferred the
earlier 1100 series for this and it seems like a serious cost saver for
large prints.
