I shop for noname cartridges at computer shows. I've had excellent results
with both my old 800 (before the power surge) and the newer 740. I can
easily get both a color and black cartridge for under $10. The ink weight
matches that of Epson brand cartridge (difference between full and empty).
The colors and depth seem to be a dead match. Next time I get some at a
show, I'll get the vendor's info and pass it on.
I used to do cartridge refilling. I think that had strong influence to the
detriment of a couple of Canon printers I've had. I simply won't do it
anymore.
