Slide scanner alternative:
I used a cheap digital camera (seventy dollars from EarthLink) to
"image" a slide that
I took of a perched hummingbird in a tree. The slide was projected on
to a white wall.
The color seemed very true so that color adjustments were not needed
with Adobe PhotoShop LE.
It seems like a cheap way to get slides on to one's web page without
using a slide scanner.
The resolution of the digital camera is only 640 X 480 which helps keep
the file size down from
the beginning. I cropped the image in PhotoShop LE and probably used
the Unsharp mask tool/filter but I'm pleased with the imaging.
