hard to find batteries for the OM-1. Does anyone know of a current
source of those, in the US?
In the U.S. it is illegal to sell or ship mercury cells.
Alternatives:
1. The MR-9 which adapts the battery compartment to a silver cell and
drops the voltage of it to that of the mercury.
2. A "625" zinc-air cell (which has an operating voltage nearly identical
to a mercury cell).
3. An adapter ring that allows using the "675" zinc-air hearing aid cell
(much easier to find than the 625 zinc air cell).
4. John Hermanson's conversion of the metering and battery "box" to a
sliver cell (this is included with a CLA).
