Famous - I hardly thing so. Infamous perhaps due to an incident at the american society of bone and mineral research genetics satellite meeting..... (to dodge a difficult question I asked the chair of my session out to dinner).... but not famous.

V rarely need a polariser in eygpt, esp. i find with provia. Also fund that the 180/2.8 is excellent, even with the 1.4X on as well. I bought this lens on a zuikoholic whim, and have not regretted it.

Cheers for all the praise

Pete
