Damn! Want them back! They'll catch cold in Seattle. The state government
here keeps pretending that the old W class are too expensive to keep in
service. Rubbish.
Point to note - Tasmanian mahogany is actually Eucalyptus regnans - the
tallest hardwood tree in the world. In fact, potentially the tallest tree
in the world (one measured at 144 metres) but the loggers cut them in the
1880's. They're not as spectacular trunks as the Sequoia because they're
skinnier, being hardwoods, but there are still a few here at around the
300ft mark.
