Hm-m-m-m-m.... Indistinct line, doesn't appear to cross the frame margines --
that usually means it's something coming in through the focal aperture, from
the front of the camera. I would want to confirm that with a test roll,
though -- that's most unusual.
Try this: load a fresh roll of high speed film (400 or faster), take a couple
of shots indoors, then take the camera outside for a while (10-15 minutes) in
bright sunlight, turning it all around so light hits the camera from every
angle. Cover the lens w/a lens cap and fire a blank shot. Remove the cap and
expose to sunlight for a while longer, then fire a couple more shots -- shoot
into a shadow, like a tree or something to make any lines more apparent.
